I spy with my little eye… Gemini!

It’s the month of Gemini and this is the time to start integrating the heart and the mind, the good and the bad, the light and the dark.  This is a month jam-packed with the potential to unify and fuse the physical and the spiritual worlds to remove all types of chaos and negativity from our lives. It’s an exciting and fast-moving month, and you don’t want to miss out!

We are all highly affected by the planet that rules the month of Gemini – even those not born under the sign of Gemini can utilize the unique gifts available this month. The planet Mercury, which was aptly named after the Roman messenger of the gods is Gemini’s ruler.

Geminis are quick-thinking, alert, bright, fast-talking, and charmingly persuasive.  They have a penchant for information and practicality.  A Gemini will grasp all sides of a question, integrate a standpoint and make a decision all at the same time!  They adeptly get straight to the heart of even the most complex of matters.  Their minds are like little speedballs.  Not unlike Mercury, which is known as the fastest planet in our solar system – travelling at 140,000 miles per hour and managing to complete a full trip around the sun in just 88 Earth days.

Geminis love sharing ideas and communication is tantamount to these intellectual-ninjas.  Curious, creative and talkative they are a true asset at any cocktail party!  Gemini is symbolized by the twins, which appropriately epitomizes their dual-like personalities.  You never quite know what you’re getting… like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde.  It’s a very common occurrence to have a Gemini argue two sides of the same argument, or why these mentally agile people can also be perceived as restless and fickle.

It’s also no coincidence that Gemini is represented by Twins, since this month is all about integration – unification.  It is important to remember that strengths and weaknesses, dark and Light, positive and negative occupy and share—in exact balance—two sides of the same coin!  And this month offers the opportunity to reveal an abundance of Light by combining these opposing forces and the power of two sides in equal forms.

How do we expose it?  Simple – restriction.

My husband has this great analogy:  you can’t boil water on a fire if you just throw the water on the flame.  There has to be something between these two elements in order to do so.  The moment we include the third element—in this case a cooking pot—we are able to reach our desired goal: to boil the water.  The pot in this analogy is restriction.

This month if someone deceives you, hurts or embarrasses you, cleave to the knowledge that you are part of the Creator; there is a bigger picture.  Cling on to the consciousness to not hurt back – restrict the tendency to fight and vilify that person.  The only thing we need to disregard and fight against is our egos, because the only thing that creates lack of unity, perpetuates fighting and encourages arguments between friends, spouses and family members is the ego.  The incessant need to be right is what brings chaos and keeps us divided from those we love.

Make peace and harmony the clear objective this month so you can truly harness the power and energy available to you.  Always remember that the greatest challenges contain the greatest amount of Light.  The most uncomfortable situations are the ones to watch out for, because overcoming them shapes and transforms you.  Geminis especially, do not like to find themselves in compromising situations.  So a challenge for those born under this sign is to forgo trying to escape emotionally awkward interactions and situations by deflecting it with their prompt intellect and razor sharp wit.  Engage with your feelings, because through the challenge lies the gift.

This month in particular is a time to cultivate and nurture relationships. Use the gift of communication in a sharing way.  Don’t flee from emotional discomfort; hang tight, be sure to access what’s beneath simple appearances to reveal what’s at the source – peace and the complete removal of chaos for you and the world at large.  Make a promise to yourself that as of right now, conflict and anger have no place in your life.  The only objective is peace and well-being.

JOURNAL:

  1. Consciousness is key, be sure to do only one thing: restrict, restrict, restrict (okay… maybe three things!).
  2. Do not punish yourself or judge yourself for doing something “wrong”.  Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.
  3. Don’t get upset about mistakes.  Instead, foster the understanding that wrong and right are just two sides of the same coin.  Flip it over and do it differently the next time!
